VibeCheck Is Now on the Canva App Marketplace

Every designer knows the moment right before a design goes live. It looks right to you. It looked right to the team. But will the people it was made for understand it, notice the button, or prefer it over the other version?

VibeCheck, Effect AI's new app, is now available in the Canva Apps Marketplace. It sends a design to real people on the Effect AI network and brings their feedback back into Canva, so creators can test a design before it ships without leaving the editor.

Below is what VibeCheck does, who answers the questions, and how to start using it.

What VibeCheck Does

VibeCheck offers three checks. Each one asks reviewers a different question, because a design can grab attention without being easy to understand, and the reverse is also true.

Clickability Check: would people stop scrolling or click? The design appears on screen for a few seconds, the way it would in a busy feed, then disappears. Reviewers answer yes or no and explain what caught their eye or what made the design blend in.

Clarity Check: how easy is this design to understand? Reviewers rate the design from 1 (not clear at all) to 10 (very clear). They consider whether the main message comes through in about five seconds, whether the layout leads the eye to the most important information, and whether anything distracts from it.

Compare Versions: which version works better? Reviewers see two designs side by side and pick the one that better fits its purpose and audience. They judge overall effectiveness rather than personal taste, and they note what made the difference, such as the headline, contrast, layout, imagery, readability, or call to action.

Each check can include the design's purpose, its target audience, and its main goal. Reviewers see that context next to the design and use it in their answers, since a bold sale banner and a quiet event invitation shouldn't be judged by the same standard.

VibeCheck sends reviewers a static image of the design, not the editable file. The app only needs permission to read the design, and nothing in it is changed.

Who Gives the Feedback

The answers come from people on the Effect AI network, the same network that has completed hundreds of thousands of data and labeling tasks during the Effect Alpha. Reviewers work from guidance written specifically for these three checks, and a few rules shape what creators get back:

  • Qualified reviewers. Design tasks go only to workers who have passed the Design Review capability test.
  • Reasoning on every task. A score or a pick on its own isn't enough. Reviewers explain their decision, and that explanation goes directly to the creator.
  • A professional standard. Feedback has to be specific, clearly written, and correctly spelled. "Looks good" doesn't meet the bar. A note that the headline blends into the background and hides the offer does.
  • Real first reactions. Reviewers are asked how they would actually respond to the design, not how they would redesign it.

Each result is tied to the task, the worker, and the time it was submitted, and worker payments settle in EFFECT on Solana.

This is the human-in-the-loop idea from the recent post When Should a Human Step In?, applied to design. Taste, tone, and first impressions have no answer key. People are the ground truth.
